Welcome to Ballymun Mens Centre

A little bit about us

In July 1997 Dublin Corporation made available a basement premises for the group in Shangan Road, and the Ballymun men's Centre opened for business in 1998, We spent 10 years in lift shaft 4, But recenltly we moved to our new premisis 35 -36 Shangan Road in late august 2008 .  provided by Dublin City Council.

The Centre is now a fully equipped drop in centre

Objectives

> A drop in centre for men of all ages and backrounds with appropiate personal and recreational back-up

> Group support and personal follow-up to develop the mens capacity and well-being and to increase their involvement in the community.

> Initiate contacts and provide training courses for men who are marginalised or demotivated to move towardss mainstream training or work oppertunities

> Informational lectures, referals and/or delivery of training, which would enhance employment or community involvement

> Networking with mens activities in other areas and lobbying for change on issues that affect mens full integration in family, community and national life
